Peter Christian Pehrson, Director, has pursued interests in American history, folk art, foodways, publishing, and manuscripts since an early age, following a childhood in Mexico and academic studies in the midwest. He was, for many years, active in Manhattan as an acquisitions and managing editor, and production manager for humanities and scholarly publishers. Pehrson has addressed audiences around the world, most recently in Amsterdam and Boston, on the peculiar attractions, and substantial historical significance, of manuscript Americana.
